The events that we covered in Issue 2 of the Revolution Minute can be accurately summed up in one word: volatile. We discussed incidents such as The Liberty Affair, The Boston Massacre, and The Boston Tea Party, to name a few.
The 1770s was a time of great unrest in Colonial America. Men were no longer content to "agree to disagree", as the saying goes. Their convictions required action. They believed very strongly that their God-given rights were being trodden underfoot by the British government. And they were forced to take measures (some extreme) to ensure that their voices were heard. Britain had no choice but to listen.
Below is both a digital and a screen-free quiz so your child can test their knowledge on what they learned in this month's issue. At the Tribune, we strongly believe that your child's comprehension of a subject can be determined by methods other than a quiz and grade; however, quizzes still benefit you as a parent to be able to see concrete evidence of your child's understanding.
If you have not signed up to receive our history newsletters, feel free to take our quiz anyway. The answer key included gives some details to the correct answers to each question.
Enjoy!
